Maternity catwalk

After some days of shopping and secondhand buying on the internet we have enough maternity clothes for a new 'Maternity Catwalk' !

For those readers who live where the sun always shines: here it is wintertime!
When I was pregnant with Gaizka, it was mostly during summertime, but now I chose an entirely different season. And yes, certainly as a woman, that gives you a perfectly good excuse to shop around a second time!

20 weeks-echo

When you are 20 weeks pregnant there is a large echo screening in holland. They look at the baby and they can see many things.
For example we know his or her kidneys work, the baby drinks the water, so that part until the stomach works. They see how the blood goes through te system (to the longs, through the heart en also to the brains), the growth of the smaller brains (also important).
And his/her feet are oke, no problem with the upper lip, etc.

They can't see if the baby hears or sees well.

We really were looking at one healthy baby inside my belly.

And then we got a lot of nice pictures. Since I am a former sportsinstructor there is especially one I would like to share.........
look at the biceps and deltoid of our next baby!

good news

Yesterday we received the results of the amniosyntesis and everything is cleared. The little baby is OK and we are 100% sure that she or he is developing well. We are happy and relieved. A nice good feeling!

The baby-blues

Well the hormones are doing their work.

Here I am sewing (or operating) the dog I used to have as a baby.
His doggy-legs were very loose and he had a huge opening in his neck.
But this is household work, which I normally just don't do.

Must be the hormones.......

going on strong

Yesterday Margreet had an echo as part of the combi-test. So far so good, everything looks fine and the chances are good. We had the opportunity to see the small baby in the belly. He / She jumped all around and made it difficult for the doctor to get a good view for the test. Anyway, that was a good sign. So far, we are talking of 6,3 cms length. 12 1/2 weeks and a healthy picture.
Gaizka was also there, looking and playing around. The doctor already knew us, but he forgot that he once also had an echoscopic session with a little being of 20 weeks, who is now Gaizka...
